b37 move speed on world map slowed to a crawl

#1 Post by heyboots »

Around when I hit level 15 or 16 on my Cornac bulwark and I was working my way through the Maze, I left to sell off some loot and noticed that my movement speed in the world map had gotten several orders of magnitude slower. Both when using autowalk by clicking on the minimap and just moving with the numpad as usual. What used to apply movements as fast as I could hit buttons, now my character would move over tiles at the rate of about 2-3 seconds per tile.

I don't know how to get a copy of my save file, but this is the online profile for the character: http://te4.org/characters/7088/tome/bcf ... 25900d6212

Edit: I found my save file. here's a zipped copy of the folder: http://www.mediafire.com/?invwpefo83ofpb7

I am also having this problem. My character was level 29 and is a Shadowblade. The slowdown happened one time when I left my Sher'tul Fortress. The slowdown is only present on the world map and doesn't have any affect in dungeons towns or etc. I have tried reloading my game, restarting my computer, and many other things. It might be well to note that it only affects the one character. I have yet to have it happen to any of my other characters, and I have had a few at comparable levels and locations in the game where it first happened.

On the off chance that this is also related to your systems can you give us the operating system and architecture (x86, etc)? And thanks for posting the save.
<DarkGod> lets say it's intended

On my observations, the regular deceleration of loading/saving and so movement on a map - it is noticeable at a breakaway of communication with the server.
Probably, at the code there is an aggressive cycle of requests to network sockets?
