B34 Equilibrium and others
100% positive the wrymic does not use the correct calculation when determing failure rate on abilities.. .5% chance of failure is acting like 20% chance of failure. Ive also seen sand breath fail at 0 Equilibrium.
Re: B34 Equilibrium and others
Random luck is random
Also the fail rate is determined by the current eq + the talent cost, so it is never 0 eq when computing it

Re: B34 Equilibrium and others
Nah, im telling you bro, after several more days of using it either its not using the correct calculation or Wyrmic is CRAZY underpowered if thats the way you intend them to work... Loss of turns for abilities that, lets face it, are underwhelming comparitively, is just bad design. I would rather take some damage then lose turns on a regular basis, especially at this fail rate... I keep stuff under 10% all the time and still fail one out of every 5 actions. Summoner puts out FAR FAR more damage, and has an easy way of regaining EQ with Jellies. Devour is on a fairly long CD, requires you to hit in melee, and can be resisted.
Re: B34 Equilibrium and others
I've played a lot of wyrmics and I can say that Equilibrium calculations never felt off to me and that wyrmics are not crazy underpowered. They can throw down a ton of AoE in a very short period of time, have good mobility options, excellent armor, great crowd control, don't have to worry much about fatigue, and if their equilibrium does get to high they can melee just fine.
I'm not saying the class is perfect. Tornado, Static Field, Bellowing Roar, Devouring Flame, and Wing Buffet were all lack luster last time I played with them. Burrow is really expensive for a situational talent and it would be nice for wyrmics if breath weapons could crit (though that would make drakes scarier). Overall though they're one of my favorite classes and I've always had a lot of fun playing them.
Also Wyrmics and Summoners are two completely different classes and are designed to be played differently. A wyrmic isn't meant to be using his equilibrium constantly. The class has longer cooldowns then the summoner, less reliable options for recovering equilibrium, and is less reliant on the resource to do damage. In short, wyrmics are a hybrid melee/wilder class and summoners are more of a pet based "caster".

Also, summoners are a bad thing to compare anything to. IMHO they're simultaneously somewhat on the high end of the power curve (though not hugely so -- they're less powerful than an archmage, say) and also really dull. At least, most people seem to find them pretty dull to play.
