Bolts can be shot 1 tile too far

I found that when you use a spell with a range of 4, and you use it in a straight line, then the targeting will show 4 blue tiles, then they will be red. However, when you actually shoot, the bolt will end at the fifth tile (the first red one). If you don't shoot straight, then the first red tile is going to be closer (only 4 tiles away when shooting just to the left of the vertical), but it will still be the one where the bolt will end. This doesn't happen with beams, which ends on the last blue tiles of your targeting.

Just a reminder, as this bug hasn't been fixed yet. It is somewhat annoying, as I have a few low-range spells in BOB, even some with only a range of 1, and this bug allow the player to target non-adjacent creature.

Marcotte: It's a bit of a hack, but if you make the range 1 spells beams, that should solve your issue.

Hum, for some reason I though that beams worked... But I tried that hack, and I was able to project beam 2 tiles away, even with range=1. (Same issue with longer beams, which can reach one tile too far too.)

And fixed! I have done a bit of testing and think it is 100% fixed but please keep an eye on it and report any issues.

Did we lose 1 range in the process? Or did you keep it "correct" (ie. no change to the player).

There is a loss of one effective range for both players and NPCs. Remember this range was not supposed to be there in the first place. If after playing beta21 you feel some talents really need that extra 1 range to be effective feel free to post then. :D
