(Lore) Allied Kingdoms trade routes.

#1 Post by Dopaminka »

Where were the cargo ships plundered by Dominion privateers heading if Sunwall has no port cities, Allied Kingdoms have no other colonial possessions/trade partners and sea travel is supposedly terribly risky due to raging storms, nagas and unexplained energy barriers on the southern currents?

Could also use a dedicated lore forums for similar discussions and queries :)

Everyone trades with the Iron Throne (see: Renkor notes). Also the Iron Throne's entrance is right on the coast. Possibly the Shaloren due to the same coastal situation?

Sea may also be how the Dwarves trade to the Mages in secret at the current time. At some point they had to be fed up with zigur raiding them.

sea travel between the east and west has those problems their's no problem using ships for fishing or trading provided you don't go into any of the aforementioned sea weirdness between continents.

and that ship the dominion raided I know had the goods the ogres guarding the prides wanted and may have had stuff for the sunwall's guard post too.

I think theres a few lore entries about sailing and other inhabited places on var'eyal beside the orcs and the sunwall yeah know there's one about a higher dude who wanted to hire some sailors from the last hope docks to try and reach one of the other continents who ended up getting robbed and killed.
think that one might be in last hopes book store.
and I know there's a few lore entries about a guy trying to find the origin of the sunwall who goes to a historical society that has an orc encampment between it and the sunwall so they might have had ports somewhere.
