Wildfire unlock

Inflict over 1,000,000 fire damage, having already unlocked Archmages. It counts all damage done by the player, whatever the source -- spells, weapons, etc. -- and it counts over multiple games. You can check the progress of this unlock under the Pyromancer achievement.

What exactly does this mean?
I can not find any Pyromancer achievement.

You need to cause 1 million fire damage by almost any means to open up the wildfire category. The 1 million damage can come via multiple characters contributing over multiple play throughs. One recommend means to hitting this mark is via an alchemists fire bombs. Other good sources in the early game are wyrmic's fire abilities and fire based mages, although they are locked for first play through (thus the alchemist recommendation).

Oh, I understood that part.

What I do not understand is how I can see how close I am to 1M.
Im on my GFs computer and I did not play that much here so it is not unlocked here as it is at home.
If I understand the text I can see how close I am by looking at Pyromancer achievement. But how do I do that?

I know that this is a bit of an old thread, but how many playthroughs are needed to unlock wildfire? I'm only up to 62k fire damage. I've got a level 15 alchemist spamming fire bombs and a level 9 archmage trying her best to only use fire spells. I'm trying to follow one of the Wildfire guides and I think that I'll put my first talent point into Wildfire at level 20. But if it's going to take leveling up an archmage 10 times to level 20 to unlock, or playing alchemist to level 40 to unlock, that would be good info to know. I'll just leave my arch mage at 9 until I get close. If on the other hand, I should have 1M fire damage by level 20 alone on archmage, then i'll keep leveling her and not worry about it.

Naturally, as your character gets to a higher level, you'll start dealing more and more fire damage more and more often. So, focus on getting farther into the game with alchemist, not grinding for wildfire itself.

Ok. I just was enjoying playing the archmage more than the alchemist, so I thought that maybe knowing how long it would take before I could go back to her or just pressing on with her and that I'd hit it by 20 anyway.

Just so you know, when you unlock Wildfire it only applies to future characters you make, not any current characters.

Unless the character you are playing at the time is an Archmage, then it is supposed to unlock it.
