Curse of Defenseless

#1 Post by Mankeli »

I played around with a corruptor on madness and it got me thinking about this skill. Here is how I see it:

Potentially this could be really good: The spell saves get ridiculous on higher difficulties and even on normal I couldn't land diseases against the final bosses reliably (it was with reaver char but the point stands). So lowering saves would be good...but, AFAIK curses too check saves before applying. So, you basically have a skill that's only use is to lower saves (the defense reduction is useless on corruptors) but it itself checks saves so if you can't land diseases you can't land CoD. Or do curses get some kind of a hidden bonus spellpower to overcaming saves? Is there something I'm missing?

I feel you. I loved how Solipsists Sunder Mind allows me to reliably confuse/sleep any non-construct enemies even on Insane. Then I tried Cornac Reaver and was so disappointed when my Curse got resisted.
