dreadfell backup

With the only one char i have managed to get tjis far - dwarven alchemist, i cleared all backups (trollmire was kinda hard to find, but having track on an item helped with that) i did not find the dreadfell backup, i have used track on all the levels, but without any succes. May be it was because on the 4th level there was a hidden area i have not discover before going east, so i cleared it only when i came back? Maybe this made it not spawn the backup?

Or backups are only optional, not guaranteed to spawn?

Dunno if it really matters now, since my game bugged and i can't finish it with that char, but it would certainly help in my next playthrough.

Backups are a certain spawn, or at least 98% certain. Think I've missed a few at times but those occasions I bet have been because of me not searching good enough than guardians not spawning.

Dreadfell backup will appear on level 1, no exceptions.

They should always appear, just not always in a connected position.
