Curse of Death, a WTF moment

#1 Post by Mankeli »

I was bashing the pale drake by hitting it, teleporting and then waiting out for the curse of death to go away -rinse and repeat. But then, after it had already resurrected once it hit my character with a particularly nasty curse of death than took him to very low levels of health and costed something like 800 HP...

I'm not sure what happened next: 1) I thought I had one more turns worth of HP but that apparently wasn't the case. 2) However, instead of dying my character went to ??? health! The thing is, I'm not wearing any "die at -X" equipment. I activated unstoppable and started to heal after it normally from ??? health. No lives lost.

Sooo, what happened, anyone care to explain? Character is a shalore berserker.

Or can't CoD kill you on it's own at all?

I'm pretty sure that means CoD managed to take to down to less than 0.5 health. That's insanely lucky for you!

Yes, I do remember the damage per turn being 55 POINT something, it wasn't an integer number.

I did not know you could at 0,4 health. Thank you!

Lesson of the day and a note to myself: use that fu**ing relentless pursuit and learn what it does.

Related question: But you can also be at zero health (just re-checked). If ??? means less than 0,5 then what does 0 mean?

EDIT: for example, my halfling test character is currently at 0/132 HP and feeling fine.
