Hi, it's me again.
Just got my first prodigy with a level 31 Dwarf Cursed normal/roguelike! Yay! I'm taking a good hard look on spell feedback. Would it be a good choice? My main stats str, con and wil are all over 50 and in the range of 50-67. What else prodigies would you consider?
Also, the in-game description specifically says that spell feedback has no cooldown (unlike the wiki!). So does this mean that I will retaliate with 155 (currently) mind damage + spell cooldown chance every single time a spell is cast on my character? If so, it sounds pretty darn effective to my nooby ears.

The description explicitly says it does have a cooldown, but at a mere 9 turns, it is a really effective prodigy. Spell Disruption is an incredible debuff.

Lol, how did I manage to misread that
. Time to go to sleep I guess. Yeah, it still sounds great, probably going for that, thanks.

Re: First prodigy ever and first prodigy for AM Cursed
It is a nice prodigy, but since you're Cursed you should be able deal with casters fast and effectively. Things shouldn't get much chances to weave spells at you after spell feedback has procced. Only exception I can think of is a lot of casters in the same place, but even then your feedback would affect the first caster and when the cooldown is ready for another shot the room should be empty already. Also you're a Dwarf so your saves should be rather ok to avoid nasty side effects of spells. For the final bosses I could see it very effective, though having done them with a Cursed I can say even for them you clear the room before it procs again.
So what I'm saying is that while it's a good prodigy the Cursed have very little use for it. Could see it saving the day in some oh shite moments where everything goes as DG planned it.
As for the other prodigies I would definitely pick Superpower as my first prodigy. You know the times when you one shot monsters? With this you can one shot bosses. If I could pick this twice on my Cursed I would.
Flexible Combat and I Can Carry The World are pretty neat ones as well.

Stronk is a potent combatant with a terrifying appearance.

Yeah, rampage, sanctuary and gloom aura when up close and personal combined with my scorpion (something) gloves which have mind hook are making spellcasters rather...accessable.Mayfair wrote:It is a nice prodigy, but since you're Cursed you should be able deal with casters fast and effectively. Superpower does seem pretty tasty for str/wil based character who likes mindpower and melee's things. I'm using Nature's Vengeance with a shield (hopefully a nice two-hander will pop out soon) so I don't know much about one-shotting but gloom aura helps with that too.Mayfair wrote: As for the other prodigies I would definitely pick Superpower as my first prodigy. With carry the world and superpower I would get the added benefit from that +40 strenght.Mayfair wrote:Flexible Combat and I Can Carry The World are pretty neat ones as well.
BTW, I'm also gonna get the third category point soon, finally unlock the fungus tree or what? I also have a really nice heroism infusion but I can get the fifth inscriptions slot from the corrupted sandworm (I assumed that I would get Fungus unlocked from Mysil BTW)
Re: First prodigy ever and first prodigy for AM Cursed
Fungus is pretty decent with a Cursed. As a Dwarf you might be able to do with 4 infusion slots until you get Wyrm Bile.

Noticed I do have Spell Feedback on him but I didn't benefit from it that much. My later Berserker gained hefty bonuses from I can carry the world though, so I'd that instead. You're right about that though that with a one hander you won't benefit from STR quite as much as with two hander.

Thanks for the tips!
I'm definitely trying to upgrade my weapon (soon I hope), the reasons why I'm still using it are 1) Rush and 2) Silence effect (25 % chance). Dual-wielding doesn't sound too hot with 10 dex so I'm waiting for gaping maw or similar
. Also my shield, eventhough it's stralite, is garbage (apart from the added defence, armour and block). At the moment I could really benefit from some added damage so superpower/carry the world do sound like fun too.
I feel that after the completely and utterly horrible early game dwarf cursed has to put up with (hello Deep Bellow breclorns
), things have started to go pretty smoothly.
