I decided to make a new thread since the old one is filled with outdated information on insane, but here's the url:

It has the videos of general strategies I used to beat insane, so if anyone wants to challenge me for world first madness they should help with learning the basics.
I've played for over 125 days, and have learned to be patient, not to play when tired, and not to go into farportals (unlike Shibari).
Pretty much the only thing is to be extremely careful, it takes a while to learn which enemies are dangerous.

The most critical thing is having a form of track, it scales with cunning (which is the second stat on all my characters).
If your class doesnt have track, try to get one of these items as soon as possible:
Watchleader's Lamp (I've seen 4.0 talent level)
Armor of Delving
Gloves of the Nighthunter

Track is the only sure way to not get one-shot.

This is almost 3 hours long, it gets a little chaotic when I realize I'll need to close the portals. If I knew which gear was best against crit immune people it'd have gone faster, so I wouldn't have been in the awkward situation of not knowing if I could kill him with unstoppable, the elixir, and the murderblade.
My initial plan was to enter with the guardian totem summons, but they kept brainlocking me, so I had to go with the crystals.

It's a little over an hour long, so be warned.
Notice how the AI gets confused by zig zag tunnels.
Without the 4 turn digger I started with, I'm not sure if tooth of the mouth would have been good enough to start the tunnel, and I'd have likely died. I couldn't exit with fear in the beginning since I don't have a mental/physical wild infusion.
I also skip the vaults until I get a hat of the brotherhood.
Armor is also one of the best stats, since physical damage dealers are the most threatening in my opinion. Hopefully I make it to the warrior bastion, where I imagine dying trying to discover a way to get past the first room.

I'm wondering how this guy has 129 all resist? can anyone help? 19 thick skin give 57 all resist.
I'd also like to confirm that phys pen won't get around the all resist? I'm 80% certain phys pen does nothing, but am too cowardly to test.

Penetration gets through resall just fine.
