How is one supposed to use 'Blood of Life'
I read on the forums that you should drink it immediately... but it seems to me that I should use it after death to return to life.
What is the correct way to use it?

Re: Blood of Life
Use it like you would a potion. 'u' is the default key, and there's also a use option in the little context menu thingy when you select in in your inventory.
E: Preemptive note: Just in case, do note that undead can consume the blood of life, but it doesn't do anything for them. No extra life, it just eats the potion. Undead probably want to either sell it or keep it as an amusing trophy.

Use it immediately. It doesn't wear off. If you're already dead, it's too late.
Re: Blood of Life
How exactly would you consume it after you were dead?

My feedback meter decays into coding. Give me feedback and I make mods.

That said, this is an extremely common newbie question, which is why I made a post in the Ideas forum proposing to change the description of the Blood of Life for greater clarity.

Along with 'how does crystal focus work?', and 'what do I need to do to unlock Necromancer?', it seems to be asked once every hour. It needs a description change.Kaja Rainbow wrote:That said, this is an extremely common newbie question, which is why I made a post in the Ideas forum proposing to change the description of the Blood of Life for greater clarity.

Re: Blood of Life
I would say a description change would be in order... as well as letting people know how it functions.
On the character I had -- I drank it... I saw no more 'lives' on the character form on the web... and when the character died once I had one death -- but no additional lives. How exactly is it supposed to work.
Yes, adding this to the wiki would help as well.

Re: Blood of Life
It's already changed in SVN, which means it'll be changed for everyone in the next release. As for how the "lives" thing works: "Lives" only measure the number of times that the Eidolon will intervene to save your life. The Blood of Life is a different type of lifesaving: When you finally die for real, the "You have died" dialog box will include an option to rise from the dead.

Got it... that makes sense now.Mewtarthio wrote:It's already changed in SVN, which means it'll be changed for everyone in the next release.
