Having searched for something to explain luck... I now look to you all..
What does luck do??
the alc offers a +5 potion... what egffect does it have on the game (if any?)

Far as I know luck hasn't been changed in recent betas, so information should still be more or less accurate.

You can also check yourself by wielding and unwielding the item and comparing the differences, of course. Or code dive

+10 luck gives 4 def, 4 acc, 3% crit, 1.75 to all saves, 2% chance to avoid friendly AoE, and 2% chance to not break stealth.
