b34 Weirdness in assassins lair

#1 Post by Tom »

Hello

I was surrounded by my little army of skeletons when I attack the assassine lord.
After a few moves Im blinded.
I drop in health rapidly but I manage to Phase Door.
After I press regeneration the Lord comes chasing after me.
Of my army is nothing left, but I still have a few new fresh ones ready up my sleeve.
I summon and move away from the lord.
Nothing happens.
My skeletons do not hit him.
I try to spell him to show them he is my enemy but nothing.
I meet two thugs who clearly are marked red, but they are not hit either.
I have to run back through my minions when I suddenly meet an angry merchant.
Any clue what happened here?
The two thugs are clearly marked red as you can see, but my minions do not hit them and they come right after me.

Not quite the same but yesterday I had something similar with my Anorithil. After entering the level I took a couple of steps (I may have cast Twilight) and then the one visible henchman went "red" and I was blinded. The fight was on. There was no waiting until I talked to the Assassin Lord. But once I killed all the assassins the merchant was fine.

This is my 2nd b34 character and everything went to script in the last one.

I know that the enemies on the second level are hostile to Sun Paladins immediately, so I wouldn't be surprised if they're instantly hostile to all Celestials. I didn't find where that's handled after a cursory look at the code, so right now it's only an assumption that they're hostile to all Celestials.

Did you attack the merchant somehow while blind (phase door then move into his square delivering a melee attack?).

I doubt that.
And yes, now I have been there three times and every time the minions are just idle.
They refuse to attack meaning Im toast.
Last time, just 2 mins ago, all the skill buttons disappeared too.
I am mouseless and had to use my talents via 'm' and that didnt work very well leading to a third straight death in this place.
A clearcut bug down here for a summoning necro.
This last time I for the first time had no minions up.
I attacked the Lord with a spell and summoned.
No difference.
The minions refuse to help.
After a long while when I must teleport to survive they die due to me beeing to far away.

Is the assassin's faction neutral to you? If so, it would explain why your minions are not attacking them.

No idea. I never checked.
But if their master attacks anything I think they should aid him.

Now I was there again.
This time no shadowspells did hurt or trigger the assassins.
They just stand there when hit.
No life loss, no nothing.

There is something wrong down there for a Nercomancer.
