This is insane.
When I wrote the above I had found 2 white daggers in Dreadfell, but when the cave was done I had found no less than 5 white daggers, one white sword, one white axe and one white sword.
All stratelite.
But in the previous game I got nothing out of Dreadfell.
Nada.
I had to go East with my gem, only to die in an orc ambush. *grumble*

If you're not finding a white weapon then surely that means you're finding lots of cool ego ones instead...? ;)

Vor Armoury is a great place to find high level vanilla (i.e., white) items... just be careful in there

How does one get that lousy achievement, anyhow? Two times I've opened that vault in b28, and two times I've not found the dragons.

??? Maybe you are too low a level for them to be generated... But I don't think so. You should, if it happens again, post a bug report with a log.

They are pretty tough, I got it last time, (and limirs quest thing was in there), but cleared the room only *much* later, afte opening it, and only just getting out of there alive. Movement infusion!

Ahh... hm. Been around 32-34ish both times I went in, and vor armoury was always the last stop before going back west and then east again for prides. The room was always the last place in there that I checked out, too. hm.

Edit: and more on topic... "the horrors with grappling stance as an alchemist, and you can't heal your golem enough to keep him alive when battling 4 of these things, even one at a time!!!" GRRRR, had to start running, ran into a trio of the red temporal ones, and some snakes.

oooh, about those dragons... Is there a set number that generate? I've seen the room empty, I've seen only two, I saw 6 or so with my last guy to make it there. That one really surprised me....I killed the three that came out initially, then strolled up to the door thinking I'd triumphed, only to find at least another 3 in there breathing on me at once. I liked that character too.

And on topic: when you know that escorts are supposed to beeline for nearby portals, but they don't seem to understand this and instead opt to hang around and die.

Kazak, you may want to post that as a bug. I presume it's because the "beeline" is obstructed by water, which might interrupt the algorithm?
