Imbue weapons

#1 Post by Tom »

How and where do I imbue a weapon?
Is it possible in any stage of the game to imbue colored weapons?

You can only imbue weapons by using the Crystal Focus on a white weapon, or Telos's Staff Crystal on a white staff.

Thx.

Not very intuitive. Or was it just me who saved the crystal until I would find a smith?

smith? but you can use crystal focus without a smith can't you? i don't understand what it does though, i used it once in arena mode and it added to my white bow a bonus for arcane (!) damage and spellpower :3 because bows do physical damage and i couldn't cast anyway it was an absolutely useless upgrade.

My understanding is that it deals Arcane Damage. Which very little resists...

Doesn't work on missile weapons. Well, it probably makes a melee attack with them do arcane damage. Possibly this should be changed to make the artifact more useful to archers.

IMO it should be made more useful to everybody, but as it stands it's probably nicest for arcane blades and alchemists before anything else. But rewriting the thing to be useful to everyone would make it a brobdingnagian mess of code, or would require it to be fundamentally different from what it is.
Having satellite internet is a lot like relying on the processes described in those RFC's for your internet. Except, instead of needing to worry about statues interrupting your connection, this time you worry about the weather. I have satellite internet. Fun, no?

Could it be used in the ring, couldn't it? It would be nice to have some interesting ring for classes for which it less useful. However there is a problem with the lack of white rings in the game now...

Apparently.
But I did not know that.
I thought, stupidly perhaps, that imbuing weapons worked as 'usual' meaning some kind of craftsman in game.
That is what I meant with 'not very intuitive' but perhaps it was only me who missed it.

By reading here I found out that I used something that I could, perhaps even should, have used else where to a better profit.
I am scared to use things when I do not know if I used them good.
