Ruined dungeon tuned up? (b28)

#1 Post by Postman »

I usually do ruined dungeon ~lvl 10, after starting dungeons, but now it suddenly had major demons and orc corruptors(not sure about last, but orc dropped curse of vulnerability on me before I died). Just RNG fluke, or it was upped in level?

Not sure exactly what

Code: Select all

level_range = {10, 30},
governs, but it's primarily why I don't do that place until after Dreadfell. Seemed no matter what level I tried it at, it was always hard. Doable, but hard.

On that note, what does level_range govern?
Having satellite internet is a lot like relying on the processes described in those RFC's for your internet. Except, instead of needing to worry about statues interrupting your connection, this time you worry about the weather. I have satellite internet. Fun, no?

I think it governs monsters of what level will spawn in the dungeon, which I think is also related to your character level...(I think normally enemies with more levels than you might not spawn, with probable exception of when the minimum level is higher than your level, I think...)

I think Postman's case is RNG fluke, although I admit I haven't got into ruined dungeon for a while...
Why can't TOME 4 has a secret room where you can represent game bugs as, well, enemies you can crush like in Divine Divinity? That would be cool...

I've had nasty stuff spawn there a few times in previous betas. I don't think it's changed any, you just maybe got a bit more unlucky than usual.

Yeah, last time I went in, I got to say "Hi!" to two fire wyrms, a faeros, and an ice wyrm, all in the same room. The RNG can be ... cruel when the right(wrong) combo of monsters show up.
