Look around the world map in Maj'Eyal, you might find something to do there.

OK... that was just spiteful and cruel.
Really. All the elements were out of sequence, so that when I did the obvious things at the obvious times, I - myself over.
I suppose someone's laughing at me now....
(150.0 gold poorer, and no unlock)
Oh, and the forum censors itself? OK, the "-" up there is the word "lucked", except without the L, and meaning "screwed".

... the unlock is SUPPOSED to be cruel
You're sending a slave to die for the amusement of others, whether or not it's your slave that does the dying. But, I think I read somewhere that b24 will make the unlock easier.

But... um... what? I didn't send anyone to do anything. Except that Blood guy. I sent him to hell.
Apparently I wasn't supposed to. That's what the cruel and spiteful part was.
I stumble upon a cesspool of evil, and I fight my way through it, and I reach a Ring of Blood, and I find a boss monster there -- what do you THINK I'm going to do? I killed his purple ass!
Actually, no, the "cruel and spiteful" part was when, after wiping out the Blood Guy in front of all the spectators, thinking I was on the right path, I stumbled upon an Orb that required payment, but which did nothing ... and KEPT my gold.

OK, after actually doing this quest instead of reading the .lua files, this quest is Officially Ridiculous. Both times I tried with my now-deceased TW, the slave died in part due to running out of stamina trying to fight off multiple foes at once, and also thanks to crap like rogues with Infusion: Insidious Poison and orcs with weapons of daylight. Hiding behind a pillar doesn't seem to help any beyond limiting how many monsters are gonna swarm you.
Edit: And uhh, greycat, that's probably a bug, the yeach was powering the orb, it shouldn't be able to sap your cash if the yeach was dead.

I er... got the unlock and killed the guy afterwards... (300gp later)
The unlock is unrealistically hard. But pillardance the left pillars and sometimes they'll lose LOS and go for your char. Use this to lure about 4 of them to your character while you take the new summons 1v1. Just use double strike and body shot selectively - generally use just "attack", but if the 1v1 is getting tough, you can uppercut. Then rest for stamina (use 5) while you wait for the rest of the summons.
As a side note on brawlers... It sucks having spent a certain amount of stamina to combo up, and then not have the stamina to "finish". So with this in mind, I'd suggest that finishing moves not use any stamina (they use combo points after all!) or that they only spend their stamina after the move is done. (ie. you can finish with less stamina than required, and then goes to 0)...

Re: Ok I'll bite - what do i have to do to unlock the brawle
Perhaps there should be an alternate, 'good' way to get the unlock - rather than killing the boss by yourself, you break his mental control on the slaves and thus cause a slave revolt.
Yes you can just get unlock then kill him but that's a bit...cheap.

Re: Ok I'll bite - what do i have to do to unlock the brawle
This unlock is practically impossible...multiple enemies + insidious poison + that freaking orc assassin that can hit for nearly 100 damage and very high defense = how in the name of Gerlyk-slaying hammer are you going to do it??? I did it like...5 times already? The first one was a bit reasonable, the later ones has ridiculous enemy spawn rate...like, the first time I can kill the first enemy and wait a few turns until next spawn, but later ones has 2nd enemy spawn around 2-3 turns after the first one, which means I can't even reach that guy yet...
Why can't TOME 4 has a secret room where you can represent game bugs as, well, enemies you can crush like in Divine Divinity? That would be cool...
Re: Ok I'll bite - what do i have to do to unlock the brawle
This quest is simply impossible unless luck provides you with either a monster with ranged attacks or a bunch of harmless stuff. My dozen tries always put 3-4 orc blood mages and such in play, which means you get absolutely no chance to finish the quest. Waiting for b24 and some balancing here...

I have yet to do this and know nothing about it, but, what makes this so hard? Some of you here are pretty hard veteran players and you are having some real hard times here?

You start with one regen infusion and no real way to get stamina back. The enemy list can be varied but I saw a lot of humanoids which means potential insidious poison infusions and ego weapons.
But the one regen infusion and the stamina problems have both been addressed so next beta it should be easier. Note that the stamina regen won't be free, you'll have to activate it and read your talents carefully to make good use of that stamina regen

Re: Ok I'll bite - what do i have to do to unlock the brawle
There're some things that are not being stated clearly in this thread.
The first -- what I was bitching about -- is that the steps you're supposed to take are incredibly unintuitive. You find the compound on the world map -- OK. Then you go in, and you're attacked by slavers. You fight them -- OK, so far so good. You go down stairs, you fight more, you go down stairs again. Then you're in a special pre-designed level, and there's a purple boss monster there. So you fight him, right? Ahem... apparently not! If you fight him, which is the incredibly obvious thing to do, then you get some XP and some drops and stuff. Then you wander around the level and you find some sort of Orb. The Orb says "insert 150 gold to continue". You insert the 150 gold, and the Orb says "HAHAHA I TAKE YOUR GOLD AND YOU GET NOTHING!".
So the first hurdle is figuring out that you're supposed to talk to the boss monster that you're facing off against inside this slave arena pen gladiator pit coliseum place.
The second thing is that apparently you don't do the unlock as yourself. Now, I haven't actually done this part. But from what I'm gathering here and elsewhere, for this part, you somehow shift control to a slave, and you have to fight as this slave.
That's all I've got.
