The Favorite (Under Appreciated) Talents Thread

#1 Post by edge2054 »

Thread title pretty much says it all.

So what's everyone's favorite under appreciated talents?

------------------------

My current favorite is Warshout. At TL 5 it's 100 Confuse damage (which I believe is the percentage chance the target loses a turn when it tries to act) in an 8 Radius cone that lasts for 8 turns :)

I love Trap Mastery. Five talents in one!

I also enjoy using Disengage and Heave from the Field Control tree. Especially in conjunction with traps, but certainly also handy for anybody with a ranged attack. I wish rogues started with Field Control already unlocked.

Momentum: Few ppl using it, but in combo with Quick Recovery (momentum is -6 stamina/turn, QR is +2.5 stamina(lvl5) = -3.5 stamina/turn + 1 regen = -2.5 stamina/turn) it's very useful, especially on top of other speed boost: 50% to attack speed. If you have Essence of Speed and Eden Guile that 35 + 50 + 50 =135% to attack speed or 85% on cooldown. That's like 2/3 of Flurry each turn.

Evasion: 53% evade melee for 10 turns. Help vs elite berserkers.

A lucky Quake helped me win the ambush tonight.

Dropped it and turned the ambush map into something like this...

Code: Select all

Two at a time is much easier then 20 at a time ;)

I loved the Archer's talent Scatter Shot (with a Really good bow).

It makes crowds simply disappear   .

Very few opponents could withstand it.

And

An honorably mention goes to Flurry, which one-shotted the invisible demon during Limmir's quest. I only knew about him (the demon master Urh'Rok :?:, was the Balrog ) because he hit me, which showed which direction the attack came from :) .
In fact, rogues have a brilliant time when it comes to laying down the smack, with more high damage talents than most other characters.

Step up is GREAT. Not sure it counts as under appreciated, but i sure like it.

Repulsion is also a must in Daikara as you can get constricted pretty easily there. Great defense against a certain unique you might run in to there as well.

Momentum. Sure it burns your stamina but used correctly it can make you unstoppable.

Darkest Light. Fun and powerful. Really helps with those orc encounters.
