amulet question

so I have an amulet of greater telepathy and an amulet of telepathic range.

the telepathic range states that it grants telepathy as well as increases the range of it, but when I wear it, it doesn't detect anything in 10 or less squares, but when I wear the greater telepathy I get monsters.

this may be a bug, but I am putting it here because it could also not be.

my question is this: what does the telepathic range amulet do??? Is it for mages with telepathy to increase the spell range?

telepathic range increases telepathy range but does not grant it so you need an other mean of getting it.

ah, because the (grants telepathy: increase range by 10) makes it seem like it gives telepathy as well, maybe instead make it say:

Increases range of telepathy by 10.
