Crypt Quest spoiler

Just lost a promising Arcane Blade in there. Could kill the buggers easily if I got close, but ended up being double-ended by two blood mages. Their attacks were annoying as hell, but what really took a lump out of my HP was their surprisingly strong physical attacks. Even with high armour I was taking 150 or so damage per hit. A few rounds of that will kill anyone now there's no strong healing items (well, my last action was trying to use a wand to heal, but it takes a turn to activate and annoyingly in that time on top of a physical attack and a blight attack some eejit stepped on an acid trap next to me for about 140 damage).

...I like the girls AI, if she loses LOS to you she will patiently wait for you to come back (probably curled up in a ball whimpering) which is great when you pop off to blindside corrupters on the other side of walls

If thats the case (she doesn't move when not in sight), then would a good tactic be as soon as youve rescued her just teleport, clean out the rest of the level, then come back to her? Seems it would be simplest
Unfortunately for me the only time I got this quest I missed the message about the time limit so she died. Which I guess is better than me dying by rushing things.

I'm not even sure if you have to come back to her at all. Does she have to be within X tiles of you when you leave the level via the stairs? Do you succeed in the quest if you recall out? If so, does she have to be within X tiles? I don't know....
