Had to flip through your release notes to find this hidden gem:

Added a Phoenix random boss

after running into the ever-resurrecting boss of fiery death on the level before the Master. I think my dwarf fighter was ready for the Master, she was not ready for the Phoenix. Sigh.

SPOILER (Scrambled Phoenix's Eggs recipe):

Looking at the code, I think it will resurrect after any normal death; then, after resurrecting, it will regain full health and remain in a larval state (unable to move or attack or cast) for 5-10 turns (check for "reviving phoenix" status); if you manage to kill it again in this brief time lasso, it will be gone for good (not an easy task, due to its high HP and regeneration rate); otherwise, you will have to go again through the entire process.

If my fun you mean being stuck in a room with what I think were THREE overlapping infernos before I realized I was in way over my head then yes, it was very fun.

I suppose fire resistance might have helped
