On my latest playthrough, I unexpectedly found myself facing Aeryn as a boss at the top of High Peak. I didn't get any dialogue at the start of the battle, and if there was going to be any at the end, it was unfortunately short-circuited by the parasite eating her. The journal just gave some vague line about her blaming me for the fall of Sunwall (what fall of Sunwall?).
What did I do to make this happen?

Re: Fallen Sun Paladin Aeryn
This event occurs when you do not complete the Charred Scar (it's the "Important News" quest) in time or at all.
(In time refers to the timer that starts when you enter the map.)

Do you always have to fight her or was this because I was a parasite?
Re: Fallen Sun Paladin Aeryn
I haven't been a parasite so I can't say about that one, but if you managed to complete the Charred Scar quest in time as Erenion mentioned, then you don't have to fight her and even have her as an ally in the final battle.Velorien wrote:Do you always have to fight her or was this because I was a parasite?
Can you check whether you managed to finish the quest at all? Maybe just link your character's info here.

I was under the impression that failing the Charred Scar led to you or Aeryn having to sacrifice themselves at the end of the game, which was why I was surprised when I had to kill Aeryn instead.

I just found this guide about Parasites.. it seems that yes, if you fail the Charred Scar AND you are a parasite, you will have to fight her in HP.Velorien wrote:This is the character: https://te4.org/characters/11874/tome/a ... 888d09a017mckwack wrote:I haven't been a parasite so I can't say about that one, but if you managed to complete the Charred Scar quest in time as Erenion mentioned, then you don't have to fight her and even have her as an ally in the final battle.Velorien wrote:Do you always have to fight her or was this because I was a parasite?
