Last several monthes I'm trying to finish game (roguelike) as Archmage Skeleton. Dreadfell is my "adored tomb" at 20-25 level.
Often my skeleton died after he got Confused detrimental effect.
Usually skeleton has 30-40 Mental save but it's not enough as I think.
There are few items to for removing detrimental mental effects (such as Wintertide Phial), but they rare enough.
How can skeleton get rid Confused detrimental effect and save his undead life?

Biting Gale Runes remove mental effects.
Other than that, get more Savior gear or Clarity gear.

I'm not crying. I'm offering a sacrifice to DarkGod in hopes he'll show favor to me.
It hasn't worked yet.

Stack confusion resist gear. You should be able to get 100% eventually.
Celestial/Light and Technique/Conditioning both have status removal talents. The light tree is particularly nice for archmages. You can get them from escorts.

Thanks for advices.
I've got 100% confusion immunity now.
But Dreadfell Master kills me again and again.
Well
It's impossibly for me to win first roguelike game without save scumming ...
Easy difficulty not a case. If I win the easy game I stop play it. I know myself.

This guide can win at Madness, if you use Shalore. You'll need a few tweaks to make it work on Skeleton, but considering how ridiculous Madness is (30k HP on ordinary orcs), if you take its advice, you should be fine.
