Broken Solipsist unlock? 2: The Evil Return

So I'm using a Yeek Reaver in Easier/Exploration (I know, I know) to hammer out some unlocks. (I finally got mindslayer unlocked, and a hearty thanks to whomever suggested that combo.) I heard the ground rumble, silently rejoiced, and headed off to the caldera to unlock solipsist. Got to the second section, kept myself on the west side, finished up the wife dream easily as usual. Then spent three ridiculous days trying to finish that stupid mouse dream. Thanks to the perfect combination of tunnels I finished it for the first time ever. No big box telling me I'd unlocked solipsist. Went and killed the grand worm, thinking maybe I neede to do that step as well. No big box. Figured maybe there wasn't a big box when you were playing in Easier/Exploration, so went off and did the Corruptor quest a few levels later. Boom, big box. So I exited out and went to the new character screen... there's Mindslayer, there's Corruptor, but Solipsist is still locked. All the unlockables page tells me I need to do is finish the two dreams. Is there a racial/class/difficulty/something else component I'm missing?

Pretty sure it's because you were playing on easy.

Since easy prevents achievements, you wouldn't get the "clear two dreams" achievement, which would have unlocked solipsists.

Easier means no achievements. No achievements (Dreaming my dreams) means no unlock tied to the achievement. Similarly, you wouldn't unlock the reaver class in easy, since it's also tied to an achievement. Probably also wouldn't unlock the earth school, for the same reason. Definitely wouldn't unlock the wildfire or ice schools.

Bah! That's the bit I'm missing. Well, it gives me a chance to go back and keep hammering on alchemists, I guess...
