Hello,
I am wondering about that specific random item :
- is the "Luck" level you have with +luck items really affecting the outcome ?
- is your own level affecting it ?
- is class/race having any effect too ?
Or is it completely random ?
I did some tests with save scumming and do not see much difference in results in wearing or not +luck items, and sometime even obtained items worse than without any +luck and wearing the pearl (that gives a malus in luck) from the temple of creation.

The luck stat has absolutely nothing to do with item generation, heh.
I'm not sure if character level effects the merchant item or not. I'd imagine so, but the thing's base level is already jacked so high it probably doesn't make much of a difference. Race/class doesn't make a difference, unless you're running an arcane class... or presumably undead. The merchant won't give arcane disrupting items to characters that can't use 'em. Not sure if it avoids giving arcane stuff to antimagic characters, though. Think so, but it's been a while since I've bothered to get an AM character that far.

Thanks, i read that items were generated at level creation to prevent some luck "cheese" , but as this specific item is not generated at level creation but only when you select its kind in the dialogue, i wondered if luck would then come in play.
Confirms my testing in which i saw no difference with +luck or -luck or nothing items worn.
Now if it's level based, it's annoying gameplay-wise then, as it means i'll have to wait for end game to get the most of the potential (as at the time you get 4000 gold after grinding a few farportals and transmogrify a lot, you're very likely at +/- level 35 already , meaning you're probably not going to get another 4000 gold before the end game anyways unless you grind a very lot more).

AM can definitely generate for undead.

does AM actually do anything to undead? I've never been lead to believe as such.
Re: Urthol 4000 gold unique item
Pretty sure arcane disrupting items can bugger with rune use, and full on antimagic completely prevents it o'course. Doesn't (didn't) do anything to the undead themselves, or their talents, though. AM undead was an interesting challenge

ah right rune use.
AM undead are no longer possible to make (they can't access zigur)
Though they can use the potion in the ID I suppose.
