Encountered Sun Paradins in Dreadfall
I opened a vault in Dreadfall and saw a war between a paladin army of five men and massive undeads. I like the idea of the vault, but aren't Paladins only exist in Far East?

*checks* In spoilers? In spoilers. Cool, can answer.
The answer is zemekkys, or however you spell that. Check kor'pul lore, and talk with the sunpa leader in the east when you get there. There were a few (more or less screwed up) attempts by zmekky to send exploration parties of sunpas and ano-whatsits over to the west, to reestablish contact, etc.
Those attempts are more or less the official reason why there's ostensibly east-exclusive critters in the west. A farportal did it, basically.

Unofficial ToME4 tagline. :PFrumple wrote:A farportal did it, basically.
Sorry about all the parentheses (sometimes I like to clarify things).
Re: Encountered Sun Paradins in Dreadfall
I had a character who was lucky enough to go that far to far east and I met the "zmekky" guy there (had the last death minutes later, though). I knew the story, but I thought the guy who wrote the lores in kor'pul was the only experimentee who made it.Frumple wrote: There were a few (more or less screwed up) attempts by zmekky to send exploration parties of sunpas and ano-whatsits over to the west, to reestablish contact, etc.

I would have to assume that he was not aware of any other survivors. Logicaly there would be a chance with experimental portals that the people going through them would wind up in different places from eachother(perhaps even in places where they can't survive, like in the bottom of an ocean, or inside a volcano), thus they would have to assume that finding that none of the others that came with them arrived with them(not even their clothing made it through if I remember correctly) they would have to come to the conclusion that they are the only survivor.IvenGray wrote:I had a character who was lucky enough to go that far to far east and I met the "zmekky" guy there (had the last death minutes later, though).
