Waht Crystal Focus can be combined with?

I had 2 daggers, "green" and "yellow", Crystal Focus can not be combined with them. Is it only for big weapon, or only for plain weapon?

It indeed works only on plain weapon. Got triple Crystaline dagger, but I'm not impressed. Seems not much better than Moon.

Crystal Focus is probably good on voratun 2H weapons only, as it boosts your weapon power by 50%. So the bigger the weapon power is, the better.

Focus is, in fact, incredibly sexy for mindslayers. I just had a winner who ended the game with this:

Maxed reshape, followed by the focus, on a near-max power plain voratun longsword. By th'end-game I normally hit for ~300 arcane damage, and TK-Smashed for ~700. With a critical TK-Smash, I could hit over 1k damage... and not much, if anything, resists arcane damage specifically.

For reference, that weapon power is 7 more points than the highest power set artifact in the game, which is a two-handed greatmaul. For everyone without reshape weapon, a max base power (72) voratun greatmaul will end up with a power of 108. That is a full 26 points over that artifact greatmaul -- practically a whole new material tier in terms of damage!

One-handed weapon's don't quite lose out, either. A max power voratun mace (48), sans reshape, ends up at 72 power. That's a full 14 points over the highest power one-handed set artifact.

Long story short, if you're patient (or incredibly lucky), the crystal focus can provide you with the hardest hitting weapon in the game -- even without the stacking bug. It's quite nice, heh.

Just don't use it on a bow or sling, doesn't really do much because shooters get all their damage from the ammo and the crystal doesn't modify the default ammo.

You still could have had a voratun greatmaul with a weapon power of 131 (130.5, technically, but I vaguely remember hearing it rounds up.), assuming a 15 point increase reshape. 138 with a 20 point increase reshape. That is an incredible amount of damage, folks.
