Hurricane Preparation...
What, if anything, can I do to prepare against Hurricane? Some sort of Wild infusion? Magical or physical? Loads of lightning resist?
Re: Hurricane Preparation...
If you're talking about what I think you're talking about, the important thing is stun resist. Additionally, I don't know that hurricanes carry any lightning damage of their own, but anyone who's throwing them around also most likely has some lightning to play with, so lightning resist is not a bad idea. Perhaps you could be clearer about the specific situation?

Well, in general, if somebody throws a Hurricane on me, what can I do? Stun immunity (100% resist) and some huge regen infusion is all? Even if I get away from the caster, it's still whacking me with big damage every turn.
No way to make it stop or prevent it from landing in the first place?
What I'm asking is whether Hurricane can be resisted or cured with the right Wild infusion or whether I just have to be prepared to ride it out with some huge regen or shielding or something.

Ah. I was a bit mistaken, then. I'm not sure how important stun immunity is for that (though it's a good idea on general principles). As far as wild infusions go, it should be a magic effect. On the other hand, I've seen wild infusions fail before. The power of premonition (available to archmages, shadowblades, and anyone who rescues a seer) will help with the resist side of things, if you can get it, but isn't worth more than one point unless you're pumping the magic stat. The antimagic skill of resolve is likely to be *very* helpful on the resist side (for this and all other forms of ongoing damage) if you can qualify for antimagic, and is well worth maxxing in general, especially if you use stamina or equilibrium. Beyond that, more HP and better healing is always helpful.

Ah, thank you very much.
I just managed to kill Urkis with a Dwarf Fighter and unlocked Storm mages so I'll have to see what "Hurricane" looks like as the caster instead of the target.
I wonder too because Urkis didn't even get a hurricane off on me, while he was killing me left and right with them when I showed up with less than 100% stun.

The spell description of Hurricane says that it can hit if your target is "dazed" by one of your lightning spells.
If you have 100% stun resist can you still be "dazed" by a lightning spell?

Re: Hurricane Preparation...
Stun immunity (or 100% stun resistance) completely protects from the lightning daze effect of the storm tree.
