You are an apothecary sent on a quest by your king. Recover a rare truffle out of an infested cavern. Your king loans you his royal truffle pig to help you on your adventure. Returning without the fungus or with a dead pig is not ideal.
Gameplay features: Enemies are non hostile to you but the pig likes to pick fights, collect ingredients to create a wide variety of potions with differing qualities and effects, buff your pig with crazy abilities from your potions, and most importantly retrieve the truffle.
The Module in its entirety is meant to be humorous. Here is the link to download the module from the main te4 site.
When starting a new game you will need to select incompatible version in order for the module to appear in any engine version past 1.2.4

Sounds pretty cool. So the pig does the fighting and you buff it instead of fighting directly? Kind of an interesting twist.
Re: 7drl Module:Quaff
I'm curious to try this, but I can't figure out what to do with the TEAM file after downloading it.
Re: 7drl Module:Quaff
You drop the .team file into the /game/modules folder of your tome directory, and then when you start up a new game you can select the module. The module might not show up on the screen unless you select incompatible, there shouldn't be any compatibility issues since the engine itself has mainly just had additions in recent versions.

I had a play with this and it's a really cool game idea! Doing everything indirectly through the pet pig is very interesting and fun, and the slowness of making potions gives it a good tactical edge as you plan your moves ahead.
My biggest criticism is that the game uses too much default T-Engine interface stuff. I guess cause it's a 7DRL you didn't have time to branch too far, but the T-Engine lets you move away quite significantly from the ToME interface. A better dedicated interface for your game would make it much more fun to play.
Also when distributing the game you should use a simpler boot module, without all the ToME stuff. Check out my game FireTail - take the boot module from it, change the background image and menu header, and straight away you have something much more suitable.

Re: 7drl Module:Quaff
Yeah I'm not too happy with the interface, it was kinda of a mad scramble to just get dialogs working properly. I might look into changing that up though. For the simple boot module I would need to set up something other than my dropbox for file sharing, which is something I need to do anyways.
Hopefully I will revisit this module, but knowing myself that might not happen too soon. Already moving on to plans for something else.
