I got this idea to make Shadow Veil feel less risky to use without being OP for NPCs:
Shadow Veil could be changed to prevent your hp from dropping below 1 during its duration... but if anything actually attempts to bring your hp below 1 during its duration, then it'll wear off on the following Turn; that way, you'll be able to react in some sort of way in case Shadow Veil fails to keep you alive.
As compensation for its extra defense, its resall bonus could be reduced.
