Vile life: You have to deal with the grand corruptor to be able to get it, either fighting the grand corruptor directly or finding some cheesy way to get him out of the altar and avoid him. Most classes in the game can't really handle him until some time after dreadfell, that could be anywhere between lvl 32 to 40 (on insane). I can't think of any skilltree that takes that long to be able to get. I think it would be nice if there was an easier way to get it earlier on, maybe put some mini altars in the first floor of mark of the spellblaze so you would be able to get it there. Handling the first floor still provides a decent challenge to be able to corrupt the heart, but handling the grand corruptor is a bit too much imo. Compare that to the alternate skill the heart can give, you can get it as early as the first t2, I think most people always avoided vile life altogether because its way too much trouble to get it.
Stoning poison: Can't get if if you side with the asslord (as far as I know). Seems a bit unfair and out of place that you could get it from a merchant who shouldnt even know what the hell it was but not from the assassin lord himself after siding with him. Thinking maybe you could get it after some specific time as a message from the asslord, kinda like how the font of sacrifice works. Or maybe some kind of assassin npc in last hope that would be able to sell you that stuff instead of the merchant.
Ashes recall: The second dungeon that you can get from using the rod of recall on doomelf/doombringer/demonologist seem to trigger a bit too early. If you get places like alt sandworm lair and alt maze, it kinda forces you to use the rod of recall if you choose to do them, either that or just avoid those places altogether, which is not really viable. Doing alt sandworm and then having to do the second dungeon at around lvl 20 or so is a death sentence. I'm thinking the level you get recalled into the second dungeon could be raised to around 23-25 or so but with higher chance, since getting the dungeon before that can be some rough and unfair RNG. Randomlly going into the second floor of a raloren camp or heart of gloom right after leaving the first dungeon is kinda harsh too, but that one is not so bad since if you die there you don't lose much time restarting.
That is all, thanks much.

Concerning the first few points:
- I agree on Vile Life being hard to get. It's technically not the only tree that takes that long, since you get Hexes if you destroy Zigur with the GC.
- Stoning Poison however is fine being merchant exclusive Imo. If you side with the Asslord, you'll get Ambush Traps instead, which are exclusive (I think) to that path.

That's true, I forgot about hexes when I wrote. You can get ambush traps from the merchant too though, both ambush trap and stone poison. Only advantage of siding with the asslord regarding the trap and poison is that you get the traps for free, while the merchant sells you both for like 2k-3k each or something like that.Erenion wrote:Concerning the first few points:
