At higher difficulties, drowning all of the innocent rares in town is 100% risk free and the rewards are very, very good. The rewards are so good that the start of the game had to be balanced around it, and because of that, all games at higher difficulty now have to start by doing this.
But isn't that a bit silly? The idea of a "hero" starting out by murdering as many innocents as possible is one thing, some players might like that. But come on.. these innocents are really going to stand there idle until they are dead?
I think it would make for a better game if drowning rare townsfolk was a risky move, at least. Maybe the start of the game can be eased up in other ways to compensate?

No more drowning in 1.6
Also i disagree that the start of the game is balanced around drowning, the start of the game is actually made trivial by drowning while playing without it is actually interesting.

I write guides and make addons too now, apparently
You can go here for a compilation of everything I wrote, plus some other important stuff!
Includes general guides (inscriptions, zone, prodigies), and class guides (Demo, Anorithil, Bulwark, Zerker, Sblade)

We don't really disagree, you're saying the same thing but from the pov of a better player.Cathbald wrote: Also i disagree that the start of the game is balanced around drowning, the start of the game is actually made trivial by drowning while playing without it is actually interesting.

Glad this will be fixed though.
