1.5 is introducing a lot of changes and one of those is turning the reflex defense from brawler into a sustain that drains 8 stamina or so every time it procs. As a result, classes that were already stamina starved will end up even more stamina starved, since its likely that reflex defense will proc on nearly every hit on the PC in higher difficulties. So, I think now would be a good time to add a "+stamina on crit" ego into the pool (might even be decent on light armor, who knows) to help relieve some of this issue.
Either that or make Techniques/Combat Veteran give stamina on crit, since that tree has been needing a rework for a while.
Why not a Stamina on crit ego?

Why not a Stamina on crit ego?
A little bit of a starters guide written by yours truly here.
Re: Why not a Stamina on crit ego?
brawler and all the classes with duelist tree get a lot of stamina already, and most other characters don't really want to use trained reactions as it requires a prodigy and light armor. I guess skirmisher is the exception?
that said i wouldn't mind if this happened, there are very few ways to get notable amounts of stamina back (with a couple classes even having to rely on combat veteran) and every little helps

Re: Why not a Stamina on crit ego?
Yeah, some classes have talents that can restore large amounts of stamina, but some classes don't have such talents, making long battles quite troublesome.
Re: Why not a Stamina on crit ego?
Have you ever tried 5/5ing the stamina talent on combat veteran? Because that's all you need to do!

Not really, if you have a lot of stamina using abilities, you can burn through stamina a lot faster than the ~3 a turn that gives you (depending on your mastery multiplier for it).Sheila wrote:Have you ever tried 5/5ing the stamina talent on combat veteran? Because that's all you need to do!
Re: Why not a Stamina on crit ego?
You will definitely burn through the stamina, but it goes a very long way to keeping you in the fight. It's more related to management and the kind of fight you're having, expecting full resources at all times isn't realistic tbh.Number43 wrote:Not really, if you have a lot of stamina using abilities, you can burn through stamina a lot faster than the ~3 a turn that gives you (depending on your mastery multiplier for it).Sheila wrote:Have you ever tried 5/5ing the stamina talent on combat veteran? I'm just saying most people who have stamina issues don't know how good that talent is, or they burst trash mobs with all their talents, possibly both.
