Endless Woes Idea

#1 Post by HousePet »

Todays random idea is for the Endless Woes Prodigy.
For people who may have forgotten what it does (which is completely understandable); any damage hit of one of the 5 eligible types that does over 150 damage to an enemy has a 20% chance to inflict a debuff that you were probably going to inflict upon it anyway, as they are characteristic of the damage type. And who knows if it stacks.

So my random idea for the day is to change this prodigy to replace this effect with a 50% chance to bypass status type immunity checks (you know, like stun resist). Also give a moderate boost to your powers for the purposes of making debuffs stick, scaling with your Cunning.
My feedback meter decays into coding. Give me feedback and I make mods.

I personally don't use Endless Woes (or really Elemental Surge for the matter) as either prodigy is fairly niche in how they work. If the effect was changed so that they give more 'generic' advantages like this then either prodigy would likely see more use.
Its amazing what the mind can come up with, but it shows talent to make something of it. - Davion Fuxa

I'm 100% in favor of the idea, as is. Currently, the prodigy is pretty useless, and having a way to overcome saves/resists would help with a number of builds that rely on landing status effects.

As is there are a lot of prodigies that are a lot worse than the top tier ones.
