Many, have already suggested numerous possible ways to improve tome, just by the pure "quality of live" changes.
about an hour ago, someone mentioned sifting through categories, which got me thinking (for a whole 5 seconds before i started to write).
As an adventurer, every time i make open my LVLup window, the games start lagging horribly.
then, when i either get a new talent, or spend a few points for stats, the game freezes... from 5 seconds, for up to a minute.
That doesn't happen when i play any other class, so the problem is rather obvious, so many talents, that all have to be calculated... simultaneously.
i think it would be a nice idea, to allow an option, to "hide", all the categories, in which you can't put points into, because you need a category point.
and while we are at it, perhaps also a "type" filter, for: magic, corruption, technique, nature gift, etc.
ALSO, because there is still no proper sliders, i have to scroll for a minute or so to get to the right category i am looking for.
Yes, those changes would mostly only have an effect on the adventurer, but it would be nice to have that class actually playable, even with a few addons.
Yeah, i know it wont be a high priority... but i hope it will at least manage to get onto the list. type filter, and "owned" filter for the categories.

Re: Hide unowned categories.
So essentially, are you thinking about having it so that there is another branch in the leveling window. Ie, right now you have one branch where you can open or close individual categories to reveal or hide their talents. This would instead add a second branch where you were open or close Invested in, or Not Invested in categories to reveal what you can invest in; perhaps similar to how Prodigies are handled, except when you invest in a category it would appear in your Talents you can invest in window?
Its amazing what the mind can come up with, but it shows talent to make something of it. - Davion Fuxa

i am pretty sure, the first "branch" (if i understand what you wrote) still loads and updates the talents, even if they aren't shown.
but essentially yes, although i had more in mind a checkbox, simmilar to the on on the character loading window.
just doesn't load (or update) them, unless you have category points to spend, or manually tick the box.
otherwise, the active categories are already filtered tot he top.

Re: Hide unowned categories.
I've had an addon which did something like this for a while.
My feedback meter decays into coding. Give me feedback and I make mods.
