Destructable Temporary Terrain

#1 Post by HousePet »

Currently Stone Wall is rather powerful because once it is up, the enemies can't do anything about it (unless they have pass_wall).
So how about changing it to be destructible and have enemies attack it?
The same would apply to Ice Wall.

ive though this also. maybe how hardy it is could tie in to its level or caster lev.

but then, in order to attack a stone wall or ice wall, think how much time it would take. a monster would have to be able to dig, have some dig tool, spend the time and effort. would they really be able to or care to? maybe it makes sense as is?

speaking of temp terrains, isnt it kinda odd that meteors and stuff can wreck walls and then the walls pop back? shouldnt they be dug away permanently by such things? its not a borg cube... unless there was a regenerating type of wall, which could be interesting somewhere maybe.

The Sandworm Lair has regenerating walls. Everyone hates them.

So I was about to suggest this again and had a vague memory of suggesting it before...

New idea to add to it:
While any normal attack/spell/whatever can damage these walls, they have flat damage reduction equal to their caster's level.
If you have a pickaxe equipped, you bypass this reduction.
