Just something that was brought up in a different thread, and while I initially thought it'd be OP (large passive buffs to an already powrful weapon) or lackluster (nice buffs, but nothing compared to Irresistible Sun or another good prodgiy), or both (really powerful buffs that make the game boring because it's suddenly best to bump everything to death). But then I actually thought about the matter, and with something like Vital Shot, why not something like that for other weapons? So, here are my initial ideas:
Skillful Strike (Longswords): A focused and precise strike that hits for very high damage and inflicts stun, pin, and slowness.
Penetrating Blows (Greatswords): For x turns, your attacks with a greatsword are so powerful and clear that they slice clean through enemies. Increase armor penetration by a large amount and make every attack a radius 1 cone while this buff is active. Instant cast.
Bone Breaker (Maces): Smash your foe's bones to pieces, doing moderate damage and inflicting a weak but very long lasting debuff (something like 50 turns) that resists curing. If an enemy that has already had its bones broken is struck by another Bone Breaker, a new debuff is inflicted. Debufs include slowness, damage reduction, extending CD, healing modifier reduction, and decreased defenses.
Gigaton Blow (Greatmauls): Strike your foe with the force of 500000 tons, doing massive damage and destroying their defenses for x turns. A foe who has had their defenses destroyed takes extra damage from all sources, has armor, defense, and saves lowered, and cannot use damage shields until the debuff is cured.
Butchering Blow (Axes): Viciously gut your foe, inflicting high damage and causing them to bleed out for several times that damage over the next x turns. While this debuff is active, the foe also suffers from reduced heal mod and reduced damage as they deal with the pain.
Disembowel (Greataxes): Remove your foe's internal organs with a single swift blow, doing large damage and inflicting a foe with the Organless debuff. While Organless, a foe suffers from 80% global speed reduction, but also reduces critical hits dealt to the foe by 50% multiplier and 25% chance.
Skin (Daggers): Slice the skin off your foe, doing moderate damage but lowering physical resistance and inflicting a long lasting bleed effect. You also gain skin of [enemy], a one use item which gives you a +x bonus to stealth and lets you enter stealth at any range, but only for enemies that are allied with the foe you stole skin from.
Not sure how these would stack up compared to all the other prodigies (seeing as I rarely make it that far), but I figure it's a good starting point. Thoughts?
