I proposed, at one time, an insane hyper-cursed style class that absolutely couldn't wait and play tactically. Rather, it had to rush, rush, rush into battle. It would invert the difficulty of the game: the beginnings of battles would be hard and then end would be easy as you'd have powered up.

This class would be hate-based, of course.
I would include Strife Talent tree. Also, skills aren't necessarily in a good order nor are any of my ideas definitive or complete. I just really liked this idea and I wanted to re-start the conversation with more concrete ideas.
The premise is that this character draws hate from every time it takes damage or kills something. The goal of this build is for it to be weak when it enters battle… just like a Cursed, only WAY more extreme.
Talent Tree #1:
1. Refusal to Die: Passive skill that that you cannot undue. It causes a permanent 1.0 (lvl 1) - 3.0 (at lvl 5) life drain. This skill increases max life by 100 for every 20 hate at lvl 5. It doesn't actually add to current HPs at all… just adds to max capacity. This also adds 100 to max hate.
2. Psychotic Rage: Passive skill that causes life drain 1.0 (lvl 1) - 3.0 (lvl 5). This skill increases Physical damage AND combat speed by up to 1% for every 1 hate ABOVE 100 at lvl 5. It reduces physical damage and combat speed 10% when below 100 hate.
3. Unrelenting Fury: Passive skill that causes life drain 1.0 (lvl 1) - 3.0 (lvl 5). This skill increases movement speed by up to 1% for every 1 hate ABOVE 100 at lvl 5.
4. Endless Hate: Passive that causes life drain 1.0 (lvl 1) - 3.0 (lvl 5). This skill increases max hate by up to 500 additional at lvl 5. This would make your capacity for hate 700.
Talent #2:
1. Passive skill that increases your armor and armor hardness in direct relation to how much hate you have, however, at lvl 1 and 100 hate it actually reduces your armor and armor hardness. At 100 hate and lvl 5, it has no penalty.
2. Active Skill: Causes all enemies in range to attack you for "x" turns. The more hate you have, the greater the range. Any enemies that survive get a "boost of adrenaline" after the skill wears off which gives them a brief bonus to speed and stats.
3. Active skill that costs hate. It REDUCES evasion/defense but causes you to gain +1 per 20 hate for "x" turns for each stat. Duration increases with talent points.
4. I hate the world: Sustain that costs hate per turn. This skill causes you to draw hate from every enemy that you can see. In addition, you gain significant stealth, invisibility detect when your hate is above 100.
Talent #3
1. Active skill: costs hate but gives life drain per attack equal to 1% of damage inflicted per 10 hate.
2. Active skill: costs hate but has 1% chance per 10 hate (no save) to reduce single enemy life AND yours by 10% per talent level.
3. Active skill: costs have but causes single enemy to join forces with you out of fear.
4. Sustain: costs hate per turn AND life per turn but increases saves and resistances based on how many enemies you can currently see.
I would offer Cursed Aura (as option) but no Unnatural Form on this class. Also:
Generic #1:
1. Lust for Blood: Gain life per kill… the amount of life taken is directly tied to how much hate you have. Increases critical multiplier 1% for every 5 hate. Drains life at 1.0 (lvl 1) - 3.0 (lvl 5).
2. Need for Hate: This reduces vision range when below 100 hate. When above 100 hate, it gives vision range increase, infra-vision, and accuracy bonus. As soon as you can no longer SEE or SENSE an enemy, you suffer an immediate sense of loss… this causes all life and hate drain to increases significantly for the 5 turns afterwards.. this can stack up to five times at lvl 1 but only 1 time at lvl 5.
3. Self-inflicted: Your hate knows no bounds and you can gain significant hate from injuring one's self. Passive skill. Doing so in vision range of enemies causes them to be intimidated reducing their damage and speed (more per level). Self-inflicted damage is reduced 10% per level. Causes permanent life drain of 1.0 (lvl 1) - 3.0 (lvl 5).
4. Passive skill that, at lvl 5 (20% per level), makes you immune to pins and slows and freezes. Drains life at 1.0 (lvl 1) - 3.0 (lvl 5).
Thoughts? Better ideas?

Re: New Afflicted: Lost Rager…return of the Cranked-style Cu
Three things:
One-This sounds awesome. Just awesome. Lot of fun, incredibly risky, but hey.
Two-Negative life regen only works in combat, right? You aren't literally losing life even out of combat. That'd make resting fatal and going into any fight suicide.
Three-The "call in enemies to attack you" should also have a counterattack built in. So, when they rush you and cave your face in, your headless corpse hit back and chops their face right off. Otherwise, you're suffering massive damage for a stat boost to your enemies. (Is this what you intended? The "if they survive" kinda makes me think so, but it isn't clear this does any damage at all.)
Overall, it just sounds fun, though an aboslutely bitch to balance. If I can help at all, let me know-this could be an awesome, awesome thing.

I'm not crying. I'm offering a sacrifice to DarkGod in hopes he'll show favor to me.
It hasn't worked yet.
