Okay, so. I've had this idea floating around for a while. I was hoping to maybe code it as an addon, but I'm not ready for that yet, if I'm going to be. For now though, I figured I'd put something up and maybe work together to get it closer to something that's viable.
So, I basically thought there should be a class that fits a "Cleric" archetype of combat roles. Capable in melee, durable, and does healing and support from in the thick of battle. I have a Google doc with a few basic notes right now, trying to flesh it out some more but I'm not really, uh... Good at this.

I always felt the Sun Paladin fullfilled this role. What would differentiate the two?

Have to agree with Fiddle that the class seems too similar to the Durable Self-healing Paladins (who also happen to have a couple weak blasting talents that do Light/Fire damage). Other then the lack of the Summons (which could perhaps be added on to the Sun Paladin & Anorithil?) it pretty well just fits in to what the Sun Paladin already offers.
By the way, your Cleric looks surprisingly similar to the 'Monster's Den: Book of Dread' Cleric Archetype. What was your Cleric based off of?

Its amazing what the mind can come up with, but it shows talent to make something of it. - Davion Fuxa

Re: "Cleric" class (working title, theorycrafting)
Hrm... There is some overlap, and what I have laid out might not differentiate it enough from the paladin. There probably needs to be some rethinking done- I don't want them to personally be the incredible tanks that the Sun Paladins are, just somewhat survivable. The basic point of this class is that they're working -with- their summons, healing them and supporting them while they fight, rather than simply sustaining themselves and being able to tank ungodly amounts of damage.
I'm trying to make the summons be the key thing that this class hinges on, but I do NOT want them to be like Summoner, which just sits back without getting them directly involved in the combat. The only durability I want on this class is to make the hands-on aspect important, not to mimic what Sun Paladin does. The key idea is to support others, not turn yourself into an ungodly killing (or tanking) machine
As for what the idea was based off of- Mostly just a D&D Cleric-ish vibe of healing + support while being up in the thick of combat.
