Egos that cause the wearer to be treated as an undead fail to do two things that many undeads have happen:
-They can still use Infusions
-Townsfolks still are happy go-lucky with them(I can respect this somewhat, as though your player is smart enough to NOT walk into town with it on.)
Included, is they fail to get benefits that a good chunk of undeads are granted:
-Fear Immunity
-Cut Immunity
-Poison Immunity(Or at least partial resist)
Could you perhaps clarify which undead the ego is based on, or perhaps divide the ego into different types?

Re: Treated as Undead Ego
Unless putting on the Undead Ego instantly makes all your flesh fall off or start dying I think it is perfectly plausible that poison can flow through your not-undead veins, or that you still need blood to flow through your veins to live since you are imitating the Undead but aren't actually dead yet.
However, I do think it is valid that the Undead intrinsic should have definitive features associated with it or that perhaps it should be divided into subsets (IE, Ghoul Intrinsic which gives you aspects of Ghouls) as it seems somewhat weak at the moment.

Its amazing what the mind can come up with, but it shows talent to make something of it. - Davion Fuxa

It should explicitly state what it does.

Re: Treated as Undead Ego
The undead attribute itself mostly only affects damage types, most Retch and things like Nature's Touch.

Re: Treated as Undead Ego
Almost anything that cares about undeath explicitly states that it has a different effect on the undead. The few exceptions (Blood of Life and Bathe in Light come to mind) should have their own descriptions updated.HousePet wrote:It should explicitly state what it does.
Re: Treated as Undead Ego
What about the faction confusion and infusions mentioned above?

Re: Treated as Undead Ego
No items besides the very special cloak of deception affect faction; infusions is a fair point but changing that would seriously hinder the ego...
Re: Treated as Undead Ego
The ego itself works wonderfully in my opinion, though I agree the part where it says "is treated undead" complicates things a bit.
Maybe re-describe the thing so people are not fooled into thinking your flesh falls off your bones and you suddenly turn into magical construct.

Stronk is a potent combatant with a terrifying appearance.

I'm not suggesting changing it, just giving more info on the description.PureQuestion wrote:No items besides the very special cloak of deception affect faction; infusions is a fair point but changing that would seriously hinder the ego...
