Don't quite get it. Are you running from the first dungeon straight into town to do shopping before you fight anything?

Personally I rarely do any shopping before level 20ish, unless I happen to see anything really really nice.

Just out of curiosity, if you die at level 1 what race/class combos are you playing?
Few really solid combos for starters would be Dwarf Berserker and Halfling Rogue. Just remember to put point in the generic skill that increases your chosen weapons accuracy and you should be good to go. Few point in stun skills before you meet Prox and even Bill should be a cakewalk straight after Prox without leaving the map.

This would be a big help for Shalore.

Less help for other races IMHO.
Check out my addons: Nullpack (classes), Null Tweaks (items & talents), and New Gems fork.

Just to be clear, I'm playing INSANE.
The reason of this suggestion is that alot of melee class(such as Cursed) have a really really hard beginning in insane due to their low damage low accurcy at level 1.
And get a mind beam tool from the store will be really helpful. However, the typical price of those mindbeam tools are 11.7, and it is pretty hard to collect 1.7 if even a bear of bee can beat you to death...

Ha ha.. that kinda explains it. I looked at your joined date and thought: man this dude must have serious problems with the game not getting past lv 1 in that time. :D
Stronk is a potent combatant with a terrifying appearance.

Not a bad idea.

For most players, 15 gold, even early, won't matter much, but it is a pretty big deal on Nightmare/Insane for physical fighters.
