Technique: Mobility and rogues

#1 Post by Rufferto1 »

I have bee trying to play rogues/shadowblades and the major problem is armor hardiness with light armour. With this in mind I would suggest having Technique:Mobility locked for them. For me it would certainly improve survivability for them, particularly in the mid-game. I find I have a much better chance with both going heavy armour, and that seems like it should not be.

Many thanks

Nice idea, makes a lot of sense.

Btw, Grey: I was listening to you discussing the stealth in Sil, and I'm curious--what do you think of the stealth in ToME? What would you change? What makes it good? Love your work!

Agreed. I suggest 1.1 for Rogue and 1.0 for Shadowblade.

I will amend that Shadowblades can get some utterly crazy Defense out of this deal, though. (I estimated it at 80+ potential.)

This might hurt Marauder's dodgetank niche, but they need a couple of extra categories at this stage, anyways.

(I need to get back to work on those ideas...)
