Having never completed this set, I was wondering if itt could be possible for the pieces to be allowed to drop in the Shadow Crypt too.

Even if you complete it, chances that you're going to use it for any considerable amount of time are not high. Even on a lich.
Don't get me wrong, that crown is awesome but the wrappings pretty much suck, even with the set bonus.

As it happens, I am a lich. Found the wrappings for the first time. Swapped for Robe of the Archmage a bit later.
