Rare Creatures Quest Drops

Should rare creatures also drop an appropriate item for the alchemist quest if they are the correct type? I had been looking for a multi-hue wyrm for a awhile and was all excited, but it was a rare and I didn't get drop for the potion.

Along the same lines, should rares be dropping gold? If they do I think it should be a buffed amount compared to normal gold drops.

Dragon scales only drop from wyrms (big ones). Drakes and wyrmlings don't drop them.
