Making "Infinite Dungeon" more infinite

I think it would be awesome if the player level wasn't capped at level 50 (nor stats capped at 60) while playing the "Infinite Dungeon". Furthermore, I think the maximum "points" a talent can have should be increased by 1 every 10 levels or so. For example, at clvl 60, you could invest 6 points in a talent, at clvl 70 you could invest 7, and so on (although it may be nice to get the first "points" increase at level 50). Heh, this may also be a good way to hunt down "broken" high level talents :wink:

Another related idea: I think it would be awesome if characters could enter the infinite dungeon (at an appropriate level) after beating the game. "Sorry, Melinda, I'd rather hunt down a god and a sher'tul godslayer... goodbye forever!" Doing it this way, though, I think the player level should still be capped at 50. This primarily lets a character go out in glory:

"Do you think your winning character is invincible? If so, then see how deep you can go in the infinite dungeon! (you will die eventually)"

Very nice ideas. Unlimited char fits with the infinite theme. Maybe player level should be maxed at the dungeon level? So you can't go above level 50 until you go below level 50.

Err...if I remember, the Infinite Dungeon actually caps at level 1000, or something...

Still, good idea though...because I don't know if anyone have ever earned the level 500 achievements yet...
Why can't TOME 4 has a secret room where you can represent game bugs as, well, enemies you can crush like in Divine Divinity? That would be cool...

No the ID really does not cap, in the zone definition ther eis an absurdly high number but it's actually bypassable since staris are always force generated.
So the only limit is your computer's limit (the maximun integer a double can contain, which is about a shitload :) )

Oh and done.
Winners can go in the ID now.

Chars created in the ID can levelup infinitely.
Every level afetr 50 you get one stat point, every 2 levels a class talent point and every 3 levels a generic point.
Every 10 levels the max of every talents raises by 1 (so you can be 6/6 at level 60) and every level the max of every stats raises by one.
Also ID chars now get a 4th category point at level 40
