Re: Item box
When I read the topic title I was thinking more along the lines of a player storage of some sort.
This would be very useful for handling those galvorn platemail you find on level 1 of the trollshaws that you deifnately want to keep, but dont want to carry around for the next 20 levels. at a stiff encumberance penalty

Not having a storge thing is quite good, it forces decisions about the PC priority.Elkan wrote:When I read the topic title I was thinking more along the lines of a player storage of some sort.

Personally I have never carried around things I can't immediately use. I trust in the RNG to provide!

Re: Item box
Could there also be a similar box around traps? Actually, I would rather embark on my previous post (I made a mistake by not separating interface and Archery suggestions there...)

- Interface suggestions
- I suggest that items and traps are remembered once seen, so that they do not disappear form the minimap, and in dark zones, from the map.
- For tactical mode, I suggest that once observed, items and traps are highlighted similarly to the player and NPCs. I suggest orange or yellowish orange colour (#FFXX00#, where XX is between 80 and AA) for traps and white[/color] for items.
- For the look command, is it possible to iterate over all interesting grids as in ToME2 using '*' key? (I tried in beta7 unsuccessfully.) If this is implemented, known items and traps should be included.
East or West, ToME is best. - Netzakh
Re: Item box
For those who don't know yet, you can simply drop stuff on the ground in Bree and come back for it later. It's persistent.
