Level Borders

#1 Post by Baker »

This isn't exactly a high-priority problem, but I've noticed that T4 levels don't have proper "level borders" the way the older T2 and T3 levels had. Is it possible that something like that could be included in the next beta? I find myself pointlessly backtracking quite often because the level borders and unexplored corridors look pretty much the same on the minimap.

Yes but I'm pondering how to represent them, any ideas ?

As far as I'm concerned, an extra layer of the dungeon's main wall type around the level is more than enough. Just something to make dead ends easier to recognize on the minimap.

Yeh, the standard unminable wall around the map is usually enough (trees in Trollshaws I guess).

This is a Level generator thing tho I guess, shouldn't be enforces, but the standard level gens should do it by default.
