Oh, how I love those. From the very first moment I was in love with ToME's talent icons... and now there's over 800? DO WANT. :D

I could open them with GIMP, then just "save as" with .png. It may be different for Windows, though, and there may be other, better solutions.

EDIT: Yup, inkscape works better, and it's relatively quick for single ones.
-> File/Document Properties
-> background
-> 000000ff
-> file/export bitmap
-> area=page, size=64.

Open it with gimp, copy, paste as a new file, save as a png. This will ensure that it gets a full palette (not 256 color gif or something), and add a background layer for tranparencies and whatnot.

When I open in gimp I just get a grey checkerboard.

I just tried opening one of the files in GIMP, it loaded but the vector data seemed corrupted. It opened fine in Inkscape, apart from having no background.
Sorry about all the parentheses (sometimes I like to clarify things).

Yeah, I opened it in inkscape but ran into the no background issue as well (also the issue that I have no idea how to use inkscape since I just downloaded it).

Same here, neither gimp nor inkscape work for me. :cry:

Xlambda, does nothing show up at all in Inkscape? Which icon are you looking at? The lack of a background is easy enough to fix; from memory, choose the rectangle tool, click on the black color in the palette on the bottom of the screen, and draw a rectangle that covers the image. Then go to one of the menus - objects, I think - and send it to the back. When exporting as a .png or whatever raster image format you'd like, make sure to restrict the export area to the area of the canvas. I am kind of surprised that website doesn't provide raster images, although I'm sure it takes a lot of load off their servers.

Inkscape has a steep learning curve, unfortunately. I started playing with it many years back when trying to do some vector work; it was probably a few weeks before I properly understood the interface. However, it is excellent for creating little icons like this, especially if all you want to do is mask an image or apply a gradient. That said, it's a little unstable, and in general the .svg format is not very widely supported.

Thanks man, that was exactly what needed to be done! It works now. :D

PNG files:

All of them are 64x64 with a black background. I missed 4 of them, but I don't know which ones.

(google drive isn't the best. Just go to "file" then "save" to download the .zip)
