TWs also have access to the Warp Mines/Dimensional Anchor/Banish combo, Frayed Threads, Thread the Needle, and Command Hounds: Breathe. They're not as good as Trim Threads right now, but I see that as a positive thing, making all of the above relatively better. The Dimensional Anchor combo should reward players for that turn of setup, and the others are locked and not especially valuable at the moment. It's true that TWs will be a little worse off overall in the AoE department, but even so they'd still be leagues ahead of the likes of Berserkers, Rogues, and Cursed. That's just life as a weapon user.

Some more stuff:

Suppress damage log numbers when Fateweaver and Energy Absorption absorb 0 damage? This happens for small damage numbers.

Typo: -foo- hits player for (0 fatewever), 1 nature

Let us define tactical talent usage for our Paradox Twin. The effectiveness of Paradox Twin varies greatly depending on AI. Sometimes the first thing my Paradox Twin does is Swap the boss so that it's right next to me and out of the path of my Paradox Bolt, and then teleport away. For now a solution is to switch control and then define tactical talent usage for yourself, but it's silly to have to switch control every time, and having the AI control your real self comes with its own share of problems.

Trim Threads has some really nice synergy with Temporal Hounds (you can use it to heal them). I'm hesitant to let that go.

But I hear what you're saying Donkatsu. One talent I'd like to replace is Shear. I'm kinda partial to the interactions between it and Trim Threads though. I'm also debating merging Fate-Threading and Timeline-Threading as the general themes are very similar. That said I'll need to figure out another means of PMs regaining Paradox which may not be a bad thing (maybe the Paradox Tree). Maybe I can squeeze this into Paradox Shield as I rewrite it this morning.

I'm really debating moving Matter so that it's unlocked from the start. I would need to nerf the damage and I would swap Shard Storm and Carbon Spikes around (Carbon Spikes is really nice single target DPS if you aim all the Spikes at one target). Maybe I can merge Shard Storm and Sphere of Destruction into one talent and put another single target damage spell in its place.

Repulsion Blast could become single target too. Up the damage a bit, keep the bonus damage on knockbacks, and the secondary target damage if you knock the primary target into a secondary one.

I like Warp, it's basically the Quantum Spike replacement. But I can't see making it available earlier, especially with how I've moved Damage Smearing and now with Paradox Shield. Makes too many defensive talents too easily accessible.

Maybe something could be done with Spacetime Folding too. Wormhole... I really hate to let go, it was one of the first talents I wrote and yufra helped me with a lot of it. But it's never been a fan favorite.

This is a rounding error. Fatewaver (well now Foresight) doesn't trigger at all for 0 damage. What you're really seeing is more like 0.3/0.7.

I'll look into this. I'm not super sure how to go about it. Can we do with this now with Forgery of Haze?

It can cast Paradox Twin? The talent should be removed regardless of how Paradox Twin was cast. Hmm...

It also shouldn't be able to trigger Contingency itself as that talent should also be removed.

Before, Wormhole was just an escape that took a turn of setup. Now, it's an escape, it's status removal, it's damage, it's crowd control. The new support talents for teleports have made Wormhole a hell of a lot more interesting and I think it'll be a lot more popular than it ever was.

Maybe just have Trim Threads go back to radius 1? Since your Hounds should be in melee range anyway, you should still be able to heal them with it while hitting the target at the same time. Shear was actually one of the main reasons I suggested less AoE. I looked at it and thought "cool, it's the medium-cooldown-aoe-damage-spell" and then realized that there was no room for any sort of AoE damage spell.

Nope, can't define tactical talent usage for Forgery of Haze, but you can for Summoner summons (if you have Summon Control) and Alchemist golems, if that helps.

Contingency triggers Paradox Twin for me. Then the Twin, who doesn't have Contingency, can just cast Paradox Twin normally. That second twin, I think, has no way of using Paradox Twin whatsoever, for a total of 3 of me.

Also, funny story time. I got dreamscaped by a dreaming horror. As expected, complete and utter chaos. Between Paradox Twins, Contingency Paradox Twins, and Temporal Fugue, there were like 30 of me by the time Dreamscape expired, with each turn taking like 5 seconds to load. The bug is that after Dreamscape was over, one of my dream projections was still in my party, and each turn was freezing up for about the same time that it took when I had 30 dream projections/temporal clones.

I'm glad to hear Wormhole is more interesting now :)

I fixed Paradox Twin, apparently resolving it after I removed talents was giving it back the talents. I removed the resolver and just gave it a custom tactical table. I think I can probably set the talent stuff. Not sure if it carry over between twins, as it rebuilds it each time. I'll look at summon control.

Yeah, I think radius one on Trim Threads would be a good way to go.

hmm.. maybe I could replace empower with a radius booster. Would take some grunt work but it would fit the 'space' part of spacetime anyway.

removing paradox mastery hurts a bit, especially when relying heavily on temporal form. Maybe every talent point spent in the paradox tree could raise your effective willpower for paradox calculations by 2%?

I'm not a big fan of things like this.

If temporal form needs some more tweaks I'll look at it. But I'm in the process of rebalancing all Paradox costs and I've found it a lot more manageable generally.

*edit* Sorry if that came off harsh, it's just a lot of clutter on talent descriptions.

Any thoughts on making Repulsion Blast single target?

Or making Shear a single target spell? It could still have the interactions with Trim Threads but I was thinking something like the old quantum spike but with a nasty debuff if the target survives instead of instant death (since Trim Threads already does that).

Found a bug: If you take the prodigy worldly knowledge you will get the window to select your talent tree of choice each time you use paradox twin though, making this choice has appearently no effect. I didn't test this with temporal fugue.

I definitely think Shear should be single-target, yeah.

I've reduced the radius on Trim Threads to 1.

I made Entropy single target and made it affect only beneficial effects.

I rearranged Matter, reduced the damage, and unlocked it.

I'll make Shear single target and figure out how to rebalance it.

Taking a break for a bit to play Mindcraft with my son.

Going to make Shear - Snip and make it like the old Quantum Spike just as pure temporal damage.

Trim Threads now restores Paradox if creatures die with it active and the instakill effect was removed.

I can't seem to reproduce this.

Something to make Wormhole stronger: lower the exit wormhole radius by 1 across the board, but make it so that when you travel through a wormhole you can appear anywhere in a radius 1 around the exit. Lets you spam teleport effects every turn instead of every other turn, since you won't have to waste a turn stepping off of the exit most of the time.

Snip has room for some more talent interaction like Quantum Spike did, maybe when it hits braided targets it does extra damage then removes the braided effect?

Paradox Shield right now encourages you to hit yourself a bunch of times before you start combat, so that when it pops you start restoring tons of paradox per turn. Sleepy, can't think of a good fix at the moment.
