All I can think of when reading about this class is a talent tree referencing Doombringer from DotA. (Disclaimer: I'm posting this just for fun, although some of them may actually serve as a sensible conceptual basis.)
Demonic Delights - "There's nothing that delights a demon more than death and destruction."
High level locked offensive Magic tree, with a focus on powerful single-target spells.
1. Devour - Attempts to devour the life of an enemy and kill them instantly, with the usual restrictions. Restores Vim if successful. Vim gain and HP cap for devouring scales with Talent level and Spellpower, (thematically speaking, you're not physically eating them, you're ripping out their lifeforce and devouring it) Cooldown scales with Talent level.
2. Passive that allows you to use a talents from recently devoured foes. Levels could influence any combination of the level of talents you gain this way, the number of extra talents you can have at once, or duration you keep these talents for. (Should you opt to giving them a duration.) As you can probably already tell I'm not very creative, which is why I can't think of a name for this one.
3. Level Death - Ranged single-targed Darkness nuke. Does flat damage + a percentage of the enemy's current HP. Flat damage scales with spellpower and talent level, percentage of HP damage is based on the difference between your and your target's level, minimum and maximum HP% damage improves with your talent level.
4. Doom - "YOU ARE DOOMED!" Target a single enemy and Doom them, unleashing the full force of the Fearscape upon their body, dealing moderate Fire damage-over-time. Due to the intense magical destruction this brings, sufferers become unable to use any talents, runes, or charms for the duration. (Racials, Infusions, and Prodigies are still usable.) Sustains and most passives are also rendered ineffective. High Vim cost, high Cooldown, checks Spellpower against Spell Save. (However, it cannot be removed by Wild infusion.) Cooldown and Duration scale with Talent level, Damage scales with Spellpower and Talent level.
Also, first-level talent for Fearfire.
Fan the Flames - Creates Demon Fire in a radius around yourself and any Demons in your party for a moderate duration, inflicting damage over time to surrounding enemies. Taking this talent also gives you passive immunity to Demon Fire and affinity that scales with Talent Level, as well as a movement speed bonus crossing any tiles with Demon Fire, Fire, Lava, in the Fearscape, etc.
